Al, thank you so much for joining. We appreciate it. I'm actually excited to talk to you because this is one of the things that, in the audience here, these are doctors that were working W2 and it was easy, right? It was set up for them. They go graduate residency, they get set up for a job that their attendings told 'em, Hey, this is a good job.
And then just. Go win, right? And they just, work their nine to five or however it is, shifts, whatever, [00:01:00] but they didn't necessarily have to really think about advertising for themselves or getting into this LinkedIn market where you basically put yourself out there in social media for professionals, right?
So I would love to hear about your book, about your strategies and how you do this. So welcome to the show. Thank you. Appreciate the opportunity. Yeah. So real quick, and this is something that we're doing new, we like to ask, Hey, when you were growing up, is this what you saw yourself doing?
Is this what you wanted to be when you grew up? what was like the big dream when you were a kiddo? Um, be honest with you, I always wanted to be my own boss. I loved the fact of being self-employed. And since I was the age of 20, that's what all I did. I never worked for anyone else, at least full-time when I started.
I had some part-time jobs, but nothing really, gave me the satisfaction. And I Think that later in life I'm blessed to be able to do that, to be my own boss and to run my own show. And I think that, when you have that kind of control, that gives you its own rewards, which for [00:02:00] me was always something I always wanted when I was a child. yeah, no, and that's interesting, right? Because how many kids, go in and be like, Hey, I wanna be my own boss. And How did you get that bug? How did that, realization came to be there? You're like, Hey, I wanna work for myself. I don't wanna work for anybody else.
You know what was that? That kind of almost a trigger that set that off, You know, , my parents and how they struggled. working jobs just to survive. And I just didn't want to be like that. I wanted to be able to, determine my own destiny and that was something that drove me to where I am and always been, motivated to do more.
and for me it was always something that was part of my DNA. So I was really fortunate to be growing up and I grew up in, a small, town called Brooklyn, New York, and, uh, tiny town. I wonder, anybody know what there, where that is? Tree does, I'm wearing the wrong hat by the way that it turns out.
So that's forgiven. But, being able to do that in a [00:03:00] major metropolitan city like New York was really an incredible opportunity that I was able to take advantage of. And, I really appreciate, being part of that because it hope expended my horizons, exposed me to so many different cultures and different.
possibility. So I really couldn't have picked a better place to be born in, I would say. That's awesome. That's amazing. and yeah, that's definitely not, a dream that a lot of kids come out as, and it's amazing how you realized, that early on in, your lifespan that, hey, this is where I want, and actually that.
May, that kind of gives insight into kind of what you focus on your book, right? Because it's all about, making yourself like advertising yourself, especially using LinkedIn. So tell me about what you do in terms of, helping others strategize in LinkedIn and tell me how we can What you outline in your book and how using, [00:04:00] AI in LinkedIn, will help people do that. very simple. I always look at people , profile and get an idea exactly where they're at. And I focus in on optimizing the profile, before you do any type of outreach. And that really is strategic .
And we use AI technology to look at keywords. used, 'cause AI is really a search engine, if you think about it. Yeah. Yeah. And when people are looking for things, the first thing that pops up is certain keywords that, people are gravitating towards. And sometimes employers are looking for employees and they'll do a LinkedIn search and if their profile is not up to par, move on to someone else.
that's really what it is. And people really forget that LinkedIn is such a powerful, Marketing tool. it's got close to a billion users, so the fact is, if you're on the platform, you wanna make sure you're putting your best game face on. And if you're not, you're gonna be really, at a disadvantage.
So I really focus in on optimizing profile and once you've done that, focus in on outreach and the best approach is to connect with [00:05:00] people and join groups and a whole bunch of other things that, I explain in my book. So there's a lot of strategies to look at, but that's usually what I start with.
Yeah. And so clarify, the market you focus on, is it digital healthcare that you focus on? Is it everybody? Or, I know when we were talking earlier and we were talking about how yeah, you were involved in digital healthcare and so what is.
Kind of, the uniqueness in that space and uniqueness in the space that you work in? I would say a lot of the people I work with are entrepreneurs. I work with financial planners, advisors, physicians. People who pretty much have their own business for the most part, and they're looking to establish themselves as a thought leader on the platform.
So I help to Develop a strategy and, devise ways to do that by, creating content or,creating , videos and scripts with the videos that help showcase their talents and also ways to approach people that don't come off as salesy or spamming. So that's [00:06:00] really some of the things I help people to develop.
Yeah. And a lot of the audience here, again, they're involved in a transition point, right? Coming from a regular brick and mortar site where they were employed, and now they're thinking about being their own employee, own employer, starting their own business.
Why is this important? it's always been out there, especially before I started my telemedicine journey. It was just something out there that I put my name out there and people asked for it. So I just just flit it around and, put my information in and it was never up to date.
I never posted anything. I don't think I've ever posted anything yet. Maybe I should, but, so why is this that important of a tool? how do you convince people that, that've never really used it before and never thought that this was an important tool? to convince him that, hey, this is something
That is integral in, in your growth as an entrepreneur. It's very simple. A lot of people treat it kinda like a resume and such, and they post information on there, but for the most part, anyone who wants to, work with you, whether it's [00:07:00] a potential, partner or a prospect, You, where are you?
on online? And they'll gravitate towards your LinkedIn. And if your profile is really not up to speed, that really, you know, you judge a book by cover. And it's true, if you're. Profile it hasn't been used or is outdated or it, there's no background image. You don't really have anything.
You're showcasing, you're really gonna be at a disadvantage, because your competition has that already. So if you're in a competing situation, most people usually are, they'll find that they need to be, up to the standards that people are familiar with. And, by not doing that, you're putting yourself at a disadvantage.
and you talked about videos, posts. a lot of people use this as, like you said, just, just running resume. But how important is it to actually engage and to actually, put content up? we talk about, there's always Instagram, there's always Twitter, so forth and so on.
And a lot of the professionals or a lot of doctors that I talk to, aren't necessarily engaged in [00:08:00] that. Yes, there's, physician, entrepreneur, people on Instagram, influencers, so forth and so on, and they have their niche. why do it here on LinkedIn? and, and what's the difference between.
Doing stuff on the other social medias versus here on LinkedIn? I would say LinkedIn is more about business to business, I would say, or business consumer . And there's a different vibe on the platform itself. People just don't post things about themselves. Sometimes they do, but they usually are pretty much providing value to whoever they're connecting with.
And I find that if you are in a business. it was serious. you need to have a presence on the platform. I think as a most of your audience is what doctors you would say. Yeah. Yeah. Doctors medical, really, providers, entrepreneurs transitioning from their basic brick and mortar practice.
Yeah. Alright. they should have a presence, not just only for their own, person, but also for their business as [00:09:00] well, a business page. And that's something that people sometimes don't even do because. I don't think it's important, but it's because a lot of times you wanna know that a business is established and they have, that's a different type of, content that is on the business page versus your personal page.
So you need to really know how to do these things and how to set yourself apart because that's exactly what your competition is doing. So just take a look at your biggest competitor, and if they have a platform and they're on LinkedIn, you have to be on that platform as well. Like having a, a Google review or something.
It's just, you need to have a presence on there, and you should be active at least, I don't know, once or twice a week just to see what's going on, update your profile information if it hasn't been updated at least every quarter. these are just some of the basics to do because that's something that, is going to, either help you or hurt you, depending on, who's, looking at your profile.
And so when building a profile, right? Let's say you're starting, this may be just very elementary questions to you. when you go [00:10:00] tell somebody, Hey, these are the things you need to pay attention to. These are the top five things you need to do, and then these are the top mistakes that you've seen, that people have done and thinking that, Hey, I'm doing the right thing, but you're like, no, that's not really gonna work.
Or, these are red flags that you really need to pay attention to. That if people looking at your site see, will definitely drive them away and keep them away from. From you? I would say, in addition to having a most recent headshot, you should also have a headline that, resonates well with people that is going to provide some kind of value to whoever you're connecting with.
there's also a place for another image in behind the background image should also be used. And it's like a billboard. So if you have a service, you should be able to Put some bullet points or something on there instead of just leaving a blank. LinkedIn pretty much gives you a blank slate and you have to fill it in.
So you want to fill with a certain type of content. And I would say in addition to the headline, your about section is very important to showcase and who you are. Put some bullet points in there [00:11:00] and if you have other things you wanna share, articles have you written, that's also an opportunity there.
Most importantly is recommendations. People have used your services. People seem to ignore that . Okay, and that's crucial. I have over a hundred recommendations on my profile, and I'm always active in getting recommendations because that's the lifeblood of LinkedIn because it's, you're judged by other people.
So if you can showcase that other people use your services, guess what? It's building trust, and that's really what you have to do in order to establish yourself. build trust in the platform. Join groups, a lot of groups available on LinkedIn that you can be part of the people, see you're part of a group that, they don't know you, but you're part of their group.
They may decide to accept your invitation just because you're a part of the group. So these are Just simple things that, work quite well and are effective in, doing any type of outreach. Yeah. And so the recommendations, what's the best way to go about that? Is it just, hey, just connecting, talking just like me and you and say, Hey, this is this this is a good person to work with?
[00:12:00] it's five star rating, so forth and so on. Is that what people are looking for or,number one is the timing, obviously. Yeah. So if you work with someone who's happy with their work, that's the time to strike. Don't wait a month or two months or a year later because I'll forget, which is one thing.
So you gotta do it while the, uh, strike when iron is hot, and most importantly, make it easy for the other person to give you recommendation. So I provide a suggested recommendation and allow them to see if that. Is fine with them, and a lot of times they'll agree with it and they'll go ahead and post it.
So you wanna make it easy for the person who you're connecting with to give you a recommendation. There's nothing wrong with that. And you can use AI technology to help create that recommendation for you. Why not? it's a great opportunity and as soon as you start doing it and making a habit, you'll find that you'll grow and your recommendations will be, will be pretty much effective on your, profile because that's what people will look for and that'll be the way to do it.
be proactive. Starting today. you can get started with getting recommendations wherever you are interviewing next on your podcast. If they have a LinkedIn profile, why [00:13:00] not? no abs. Absolutely. And I do, I honestly do a horrible job at that. and just, and how much time does that take?
during the week, a lot of us, are busy. They're, we're honestly, calendars are full. It's hour by hour. How much time do you recommend that people actually take to do this? you were talking in regular basis maybe every other day, ideally, very regularly, daily.
But how much time investment. Does one really need to put into this to actually be effective? I would say that if you are looking at, and LinkedIn is mostly active during the week and I would say the activity is usually Tuesday through Thursday is really active on the platform.
So if you have to dedicate certain times. Those three days of the week would be ideal, and I would look at certain times a day. The mornings are usually good from 10 to 12, and sometimes the afternoon from two to four, is usually, kinda a sweet spot where you can do postings and also reply to postings and and publish newsletters also was good.
I sent out newsletters every Thursday in the morning. And I have five [00:14:00] different newsletters that go out to various, people, that are subscribing. I have, attorneys, I have CPAs, I have insurance agents, and they all have their own newsletter and they get every week. They look forward to that. So it's something that, is important.
and that could be all done in advance. they have a scheduling feature where they schedule it. I can do a, a. A month in advance, a year in advance if I want to usually do a month in advance. And it's, and it just goes out. And it really is about, keeping yourself on the platform and being active.
But LinkedIn recommends at least three interactions minimum a week. So if you have to do it, at least, those days, as I mentioned, are a good starting point. Yeah. and how do you stick out, there's hundreds, thousands of posts, right? How do you grab somebody's attention?
how do when you post, how do you ensure that people are gonna look at your posts versus just whatever, just kind just throw away and just gloss over your content? I find what's very effective are video posts. because very few [00:15:00] people are doing that. And if you can create a video post and ideally anywhere from 30 seconds to 90 seconds, that's a sweet spot for videos.
And post that videos, I have been posting into groups that I'm part of and those groups have thousands of members part of that. And they all usually are pretty receptive when they receive the video. not necessarily content. But the video and the video should be, of course, not self-promoting, but educational in nature.
And that's, I would say at least 90% of it is educational. And I talk about certain facts about, LinkedIn, that's gonna help them be better on the platform. So if you have something of value that can make them, better at their job, they'd appreciate that. And by putting a video together is certainly gonna move the needle.
and how do you convince people to do that? Yeah. I, when I started making content and whatnot, just washing myself, is honestly, I can't even watch myself much right now. It's just cringey, right? you look at yourself and you're like, oh, and after time I'm getting a little bit more comfortable with it, but so how do you.
[00:16:00] how do you approach that? getting videos, is there, is there, do you have to be perfect or is it just put yourself out there? the fact is that with AI technology, you don't have to put yourself out there. there's no reason why you can't, have an avatar. that's representing you to give your information.
Okay? And they're always perfect, and they're very reallike and lifelike. and that's what I've been using for my videos, and I have no objection of the people who are watching it because they're looking for the information that they get from it. And that's important. So if you have a problem in front of the camera, you're not, you're nervous or you have all these things, then you know, look at it as an option.
AI technology is amazing and what it can do for you, and it's really incredible. The life likeness of the, avatar. And sometimes you can even have it in your own voice. So just think about the possibility that is crazy. I definitely seen some of those videos too with ai.
And actually that's a good segue 'cause you came out with a book, the ai, LinkedIn Advantage. and you've mentioned it a couple times how [00:17:00] AI. Could do that. it's a big search engine. It could help, help keywords now, creating videos for you, what, how have, what are the ways that you are leveraging AI into the kind of the whole stratosphere of LinkedIn and the approach of.
Someone on LinkedIn? certainly it's great for content creation. it gives you so many ideas that you can use that are incredible things you never even thought about. And sometimes you can use the technology in a way that is brilliant. Just imagine you can create ai, agents, what they call gems, which is what Google uses.
And just imagine you can grade who's your favorite advisor, like Tony Robbins or Gary Chek. Are they? People that you, admire. Yeah. Yeah. Tony Robbins definitely looking into that. Yeah. And, definitely read some of his stuff. Alright. Just imagine you have Tony working for you. Okay. As your AI. Okay.
And you can ask Tony, Hey, what should I do this week? What ideas do you recommend? And he'll come back to you [00:18:00] with that information, that is derived from all the books as you've written, and all the information. And it's really incredible that AI technology is just creating the content based on the person you designate, that you want the content to be derived from as opposed to just outta all different areas across the internet.
And you can use that for all D things and you can have a whole, just imagine a team of advisors at your disposal. Yeah. Okay. As your consultants, if you had to pay money for these people, it'd be, you wouldn't be able to afford thousands of dollars, right? just going to a singular, conference, whatnot.
just imagine these advisors working for you 24 7. They don't sleep, they don't eat. Okay. And they'll do one thing is whatever you ask them to. And they'll run it by them. you can have Tony in one hand, and I dunno, whoever you find, another, people that you like working with as another, the, it's endless the amount of advisors you can have available at your disposal all as AI agents.
Okay? And they can provide basically. [00:19:00] To whatever problems you're dealing with because they've dealt those problems already and they know exactly how to do So instead of combin through these books, you can have it at your disposal, the answer in seconds, what you're looking for from some of the best experts in the field.
So that's what AI can do and that's incredible. Wow. So yeah, actually I've never thought of that way. when I set up my AI agent, it's it's basic prompts and it's, just, make it something like me or make it sound, casual, so forth and so on.
But never really thought that you could take a whole, conglomeration of people's works and create it like that and. it's, getting close to the real thing as you can without actually getting to the real thing, right? So that's amazing. And getting multiple in your hands, right?
So what is, what does Tony say versus what did others say? So forth and so on, and just getting that's, it's incredible the amount of, information that you can feed the ai, whether it's from, YouTube channel for example. You can get, the most recent, [00:20:00] interviews. And have the AI analyze it.
you get it from books that were written and have it analyzed as well. And you can create prompts that you're looking for that will give you the answers from some of the top experts in the field. it's just amazing and not using it as putting your head of disadvantage, because if you're not doing your competition is, but just imagine having a board of advisors at your disposal.
that's just. Incredible amount of marketing and material information. So anyone who's new and just getting started, you want the best of the best. And you can have that, without, without question of whether or not,it's ethical. it's AI and it can use the information.
You feed it. So feed it the right information and you'll be amazed at what the results you'll get. Now, how do you answer detractors kind of argument where it's hey. This is artificial, right? How do we trust that AI is feeding you to the right things? let's say you feed all the information you have [00:21:00] and this AI agent spits something out, right?
how do you know that it's correct? That I don't have time to, to, I don't know if anybody has time to check the resources, check the check, the, check all the information and actually validate it. So how do you answer those that say, Hey, I don't know if I could trust this machine that's spitting this out for me that I technically can't check.
Okay. the fact is that it's what you give the information. So with Jet GPT, for example, they'll derive from sources that are available on the internet. But if you create, like with Google, they have these gems that you can create. You can tell the gem to get only the information exactly from where you got it, from the sources.
So if you get the sources from the books, or you're getting it from certain YouTube videos, this is exactly where the sources is. So always find out where the sources are coming from. So if the sources are coming from 10 books or written. and guess what? You're gonna pretty much 99% be accurate that the information you're getting is exactly from the author, and that really is [00:22:00] how you deal with it.
And that's how you are able to, make sure that you're getting the right information because you're only asking ai get it from one particular source and no other sources, okay? And they'll work with the information you provide. So it's what you give the AI technology is what you give.
That's interesting. Interesting. And you've mentioned, gems and whatnot. What is, what AI agent that do you prefer using? is it the Google agent or, the chat, GPT, so forth and so on. what's your preferred? you Google of course, with the gems is their, their brand of AI technology with Gemini, which is also a leading competitive AI technology.
And that's been pretty much a game changer, I would say, and a lot of people really don't know about it, but the possibilities of the platform is tremendous. there's a service, also partner called Notebook lm. And it's part of Google. and what you do is where you upload the information to provide for the, ai, technology of the gem.
So you use the notebook to get all the [00:23:00] resources from that particular target you're working with and give it to notebook and it will derive the information. That the gem asked, using the notebook information details. So that's as accurate as you're gonna get in terms of the information where it's very selective, unlike the other type of platforms out there, which will just take it off the internet anywhere.
And that could be not true or not, this will be exactly what you're asking for. It's a premium, feature, part of, Google. But I think it's worthwhile, 'cause it really gives you, reassurance that the information you're getting is from directly from the source. No, that's incredible.
Yeah. 'cause not, when you know, especially those, not super users of ai, it just goes strictly to chat to BT and, that's what I do. But no, this is great information. And having more, more options that, that we could trust is great. Now in terms of the prompts, what are effective prompts?
what kind of pitfalls do you see that people doing when they start building their agent and start the prompts, and you said, yeah, this is [00:24:00] what your product is directly related to, what you put into it. So how, what's your recommendation on finding the sources or, how do you vet what prompts you put in and how do, how you build your AI.
there's certain AI technology that's really good at prompts. I like perplexity. it's really very,I would say a great resource. It's very thorough and you can ask them to provide prompts for a particular topic, and it'll come up with 10, 20 different prompts that you probably wouldn't imagine that would be, that would work.
But it does, and it can go more into depth about it, and it's really quite intuitive. and it'll even give you prompts without even asking, which is great. And then I use that with, Gemini, to, come up with a, combination of, prompts that will get, extract the information I'll be looking for the, gem to utilize when I ask a question.
So you can use different AI technologies based on the, [00:25:00] AI's, expertise, you might say. Oh, wow. Yeah. No, that's amazing. And how you leverage multiple AI services to get to your answer, instead of just one. And doing that, Sure. Yeah. So let's talk about more of your book and what you're outlining.
tell us more about, tell us more about the AI LinkedIn Advantage. what, why do people need to read it? very simple because it's the only book right now that really combines both AI and LinkedIn together, which has never been written before. And it gives people a way to use the platform strategically that will save them a lot of time and a lot of heartache when they're creating, whether it's they're creating their, profile or creating content and strategies for outreach.
I listed all in my book. Gives you the ability to, become a thought leader, in your field. If you use these information I have, that'll help find the right AI tools to help [00:26:00] create the content, scripts or videos to, have a profile that's going to be impactful. These things are something that I find essential when doing any type of, outreach on LinkedIn.
So you need to know exactly why it's important and how AI can help you develop, a right strategy to focus on your target audience and become, pretty much a dominant player, in your field. No, that's amazing. And, and these strategies too, you have a website as well, right? where you, I offer your services, right?
that outline This can you speak more about that? Yeah. It's so called Link Vantage, link vantage.com. In fact, if you go to my website, there is a, free offer. I'm offering a free, I would say checklist. Profile optimization checklist that you can get for free. And you don't need to give me my, your email because, it makes it easier.
I'm not gonna out spam people, but you go ahead. You can download it and you'll have about maybe 20 [00:27:00] different ideas and how to optimize your profile. So you become, pretty much, better at, LinkedIn. Pretty much having a profile that is impactful to whoever you wanna connect with. So I think that's a good thing for your listeners to check out.
Yeah. No, it's, I was checking it out and, I was looking at my own profile and again, I've told everybody that it's just, it's a lost and forgotten thing. I'll update it every six months maybe, and, definitely not an advantage using that.
and, looking at the messages and looking at kind of the notifications gloss over, right? how important is it to answer all those messages, just really, this is my question and get through all that and just, and respond, and sometimes there's spam, so forth and so on.
how do you utilize that correctly and try to avoid all that spam stuff? there are certain settings that you can have. when you do receive like spam, to report that, to LinkedIn. And LinkedIn is very proactive in making sure that you know that [00:28:00] individual doesn't contact you again, and that the offer is not relevant to what you're looking for.
So you need to be more proactive with that and you'll find your amount of spam that we reduced dramatically. And that's what I've done. And when it comes to any type of outreach. I find that, having a profile that's well robust will have a lot of answers that are people are looking for. So I'll have articles that are written or we'll have videos that people can view so they can get a lot of information.
And then if they need more information and contact me, then that's fine. I think I would say at least probably eight outta 10 people who reach out to me or just pitch slapping me, And what was that term? Yeah, pitch slapped. That's funny. That's funny. Yeah. And it's just out there. I, that's funny.
I'm gonna use that more. but yeah, they're just out there just trying to pitch whatever they have just, and it's just random almost. some, sometimes it doesn't, apply to me or what I do. it's just out there. And guess what? I use AI technology and I slap them [00:29:00] back. How do you do that?
Tell me more about how you do that. This is just interesting. I take all the information that they send over to me. And then I give it to them and says, thanks and whatever. And then I reach back and I give them my, the AI creates that, that way of doing it and says, if you gotta get business this way, then you're doing your business totally wrong and I could show you how to do it the right way.
Alright. And that's true. 'cause that's really not way they gotta be effective. But, most of the people are doing it. I usually, sometimes their bots are just doing it, just to do outreach. Yeah. Yeah. No human or not, that's, Oh man, I'm gonna use that term more often now. that's amazing.
Yeah. Now,so give us, actionable ways that our new doctors, our doctors that are transitioning to become entrepreneurs that could help 'em thrive. To grow their business, to grow their presence. if when you talk to these guys, what are the top three things that they need to be doing?
get on LinkedIn today. These are the top three things [00:30:00] that you should do, or even more that you should do right now to help optimize your LinkedIn. my, my worksheet, my has pretty much at least 20 different ideas on there. so just getting started. Certainly an updated photo would be ideal.
A professional headshot is definitely helpful, and as well as a background image. There are services like Canva that are available that you can use to create the image in the background. If you're not good at it, you can hire somebody to do it. There's no reason not to do it. And the headline also is crucial because that's the opportunity.
AI can help you do all this too as well. Yeah. It can help create a, an effective headline that's going to be resonate well, whoever you want to connect with. So if you are,a doctor and you wanna reach a certain service provider, gotta show them what you know, what your value is, what your value proposition and AI will help generate a way that will be effective for them to decide to connect with you because of that making a difference.[00:31:00]
That's amazing. That's amazing. Now we are coming up with time, but I like to ask this one last question from everybody. going back and, thinking about your younger self, just the day that you decided to start your journey, knowing what you know now, what would you tell your younger self?
Hey, this is what you need to be doing. This is what you need to know. Go forth. Don't procrastinate. because that's exactly, and don't be afraid to make mistakes, because the fact is that's the only way you're gonna grow. And if I were known earlier, I would've made more mistakes.
Because more mistakes you make, the better you become and the more successful you can become. So don't be afraid to take chances. just make sure that whatever you're doing. it's a learning experience and that's what I've done. and even when I wrote the book and I wrote several books, my first book, was really a lot of,heartache and a lot of,pride I put into it.
But it's,I'm on my 10th book and for me it's just, I don't even [00:32:00] think twice about, using it as a, as an opportunity to, help people. And I think that's great, and it's a legacy that I'm leaving behind, so I'm not being around, my books will be around, and that's something that's incredible and I'm leaving something for people to, make use out of it and, hopefully getting value from it.
and how do you convince people to be comfortable with their mistakes? you're talking to a population here where, you know, with providers, sometimes, we. We are sometimes asked to be perfect. Batting a hundred, baseball players, you're good to get away with, 20, 30%.
And you're an all star, right? if providers, doctors, physicians, bat 20 to 30%, we might find our licenses get pulled. And that's the background and the mental mindset that we have. So how did you get comfortable making those mistakes and learning from them? I think Wayne Gretzky had a slogan or something that you Yeah.
You don't make, the shots that you make, if you're not making them, it's [00:33:00] simply you're gonna fail, so you have to fight. Yeah. you missed a hundred percent of the shots you don't take. Yeah, exactly. Oh, look at Michael Jordan. Yeah. Okay. Also, he also, made a lot of great, mistakes.
even though he did a lot of, ones that worked, but he wasn't as successful. Because if he didn't do that, he wouldn't be as great as he is,as the other players out there. Look at them. you have to really understand that in order for you to grow, you have to make mistakes.
And the more you do it, the better you become at what you're doing. that's simply put. So the ones who don't, those who are afraid of making a mistake are the ones that are gonna fail. And that's simply put. So you gotta roll with the punches. No, I like that. I like those metaphors and then the connection to that, because that's true, right?
you're really not gonna be able to step ahead if you're not willing to take those risks. And a lot of the speed bumps in kind of the audience and the population that we're coming from are very risk adverse. So it's getting out of their skin [00:34:00] to be comfortable to take that risk, right?
